# Get Started

> Use the BETTER Terminal in closed beta and understand how future vault access will work.

## Current status

<Note>
  **Live now:** the BETTER Terminal is running as a closed beta for Polymarket signal discovery and one/two-click copy trading.

  **Not live yet:** Vaults and `vBETTER` are still in progress as of 6 March 2026.
</Note>

## Prerequisites

<Info>
  * A compatible wallet: Rabby, MetaMask, Phantom, Brave Wallet, or WalletConnect
  * Enough `$BETTER` to meet the current access threshold
  * USDC plus gas on a supported source chain (**Ethereum mainnet** or **Base mainnet** today)
  * Ability to sign from the wallet you want to fund with
  * No manual bridge is required
</Info>

## Terminal quickstart (live now)

<Steps>
  <Step title="Log in">
    Connect your wallet. Privy checks the wallet and current session against the active `$BETTER` requirement.

    If your `$BETTER` is already staked for future vault access, that same qualifying stake still counts for Terminal access.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the Wallet tab">
    Inside the app, go to the **Wallet** tab and choose your source chain.

    BETTER currently supports funding from **Ethereum mainnet** and **Base mainnet**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Fund through the UDA flow">
    Enter the USDC notional you want to fund and either:

    * send USDC to the Universal Deposit Address (UDA) provided by Enclave.money, or
    * sign the transaction directly from your hot wallet

    BETTER handles the routing for you. You do **not** bridge manually.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for funds to become trade-ready">
    After the UDA flow completes, the funds become usable as `USDC.e` on Polygon for Polymarket trading.

    You need gas on the source chain to fund the Terminal, but Terminal trade placement itself is gas-sponsored by Polymarket.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review live signals">
    Use the Terminal to inspect signal context, wallet scores, and trade thesis before acting.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy trade">
    BETTER copy trading is a one/two-click replication flow for supported signals.

    Lite Mode, when enabled, halves the Terminal access requirement and charges a **2% fee on the nominal value of each filled Terminal copy trade**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Track resolution and settlement">
    Markets still settle on Polymarket timelines.

    Oracle disputes, market disputes, or Polygon queues can delay final resolution. In some cases this can take roughly **30 minutes to 2 hours**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Important access notes

* BETTER checks access per wallet and per user session
* If you only meet the requirement with liquid `$BETTER` and sell below the threshold during a session, your session can time out
* The docs and the app are the source of truth for the current gate
* Terminal access currently does **not** require KYC

<Warning>
  Copy trades do not guarantee equal fills, equal timing, or equal performance.
</Warning>

## Vault flow (coming soon)

The first BETTER vault is still targeted for Q1 2026. The launch design is currently:

* one initial vault first
* fixed-term and high-risk structure
* deposit windows instead of always-open deposits
* batched withdrawals
* no partial withdrawals at the start
* `vBETTER` receipt tokens planned later, not at first launch

## Verify

* Your Terminal balance reflects the funded amount routed into Polygon-ready trading funds
* The Terminal shows live signals and lets you place copy trades
