# Introduction

> BETTER is a token-gated access layer for prediction-market alpha. Today the Terminal is live in closed beta for Polymarket copy trading; vaults and vBETTER are still in progress.

## What BETTER is

BETTER is a token-gated access layer for prediction-market trading.

Today, BETTER gives closed beta users access to a live Terminal for discovering and copying statistically strong Polymarket signals. Over time, the same access layer expands into automated vaults and transferable vault receipts.

  * **Live now:** Terminal closed beta for Polymarket signal discovery and one/two-click copy trading
  * **In progress:** the first BETTER vault, `vBETTER` receipt tokens, and B2B products
  * **Planned later:** Kalshi and Opinion integrations

* **Active traders** who want live signal context and faster copy-trading workflows
* **Future vault depositors** who want automated exposure once vaults go live
* **Future builders/integrators** who want telemetry and indexing once the developer surface is published

## In plain English

BETTER is designed to let users fund from supported chains, route that capital into prediction-market-ready funds, and trade or copy trade inside a token-gated Terminal without manually bridging assets themselves.

## How it works at a glance

| **1. Log in** | Privy checks whether the wallet meets the current `$BETTER` access requirement      |
| **2. Fund**   | The user funds from a supported source chain using a UDA without manually bridging  |
| **3. Route**  | Funds are made usable as `USDC.e` on Polygon for Polymarket trading                 |
| **4. Trade**  | The Terminal surfaces signal context and lets users place gas-sponsored copy trades |
| **5. Expand** | Future vaults use the same access layer for automated strategies                    |

## Current availability

* **Funding chains today:** Ethereum mainnet and Base mainnet
* **Execution venue today:** Polymarket on Polygon
* **Wallets:** Rabby, MetaMask, Phantom, Brave Wallet, and WalletConnect-compatible wallets
* **Gas:** users need gas on the source chain; Terminal trades themselves are gas-sponsored
* **Access source of truth:** the docs and the app
* **KYC:** not currently required for Terminal access
